Getting started

What is NearMax?

We build, host, and look after a professional website for your trade business. You don't touch any technology — we do the building, the updates, the security, and the search setup. You get on with the work; the website wins you the next job.

What's included in my subscription?

Everything: your professionally built website, hosting, the secure padlock (https), a contact form that sends leads straight to your email, your own domain connected, ongoing updates made for you, and priority email support. One monthly price, no extras.

How do I claim my site?

If you got a preview link from us, your site is already built. Open the preview, hit the claim button, and follow the checkout. Your dashboard and a welcome email arrive straight after — the whole thing takes a couple of minutes.

Your website & changes

Can I change what's on my website?

Yes — but you don't edit anything yourself. Open your dashboard, hit "Request a change", and tell us in your own words ("change the phone number", "add photos from last week's job", "we do gutters now too"). We make the change for you within 1 business day, free.

Can I add my own photos?

Absolutely — real job photos are the best thing you can put on your site. Send them with a change request and we'll place them properly. Phone photos are fine.

What if my prices, hours, or services change?

Send a change request from your dashboard whenever anything changes. Keeping the site accurate is part of the service — there's no limit and no charge.

Your domain

Do I need my own domain?

Your site is already live on a NearMax address the moment you claim it, so nothing is blocked. But your own domain (yourbusiness.com) looks more professional on a van, a card, and in Google — we strongly recommend connecting one.

I don't have a domain. Where do I get one?

Buy one at any registrar — GoDaddy, Namecheap, and Squarespace are common choices. It usually costs $10–20 a year. Then come back to your dashboard and we'll walk you through connecting it, click by click, for your exact provider.

Will connecting my domain break my email?

No. This is the most common worry, and the answer is a flat no: the two settings we ask for only affect where your website points. Your email — and anything else on the domain — keeps working exactly as it does today.

How long does it take to go live?

Usually the same day. After you add the two settings, we check them automatically, add the security certificate, and switch your domain on — most sites are live within an hour or two, and it never needs anything more from you.

Leads & notifications

Where do my enquiries go?

When someone fills in the contact form on your site, the enquiry lands in your email inbox and is also saved in your dashboard under "Form Leads" so nothing gets lost. Reply straight from your email to respond.

How do I change which email gets the leads?

Dashboard → your site → "Lead Notifications". Enter the new address and confirm it from the email we send — leads switch over immediately.

What do Visits, Calls, and Leads mean?

Once your site is live you'll see three numbers for the last 30 days: Visits is how many people looked at your site, Calls is how many tapped your phone number, and Leads is contact-form enquiries.

Billing & account

What does it cost?

One flat monthly subscription — the price you saw at checkout, everything included. No setup fees, no surprise extras, cancel anytime.

What happens if I cancel?

Your site is paused and taken offline, and you won't be charged again. We keep your site and domain settings safe indefinitely, so if you come back later we can restore everything. Your domain always belongs to you.

Can I have more than one site?

Yes. Every site you purchase appears in the same dashboard, each with its own domain, lead email, and enquiries — one login for everything.

How do I contact support?

Reply to any email from us — that goes straight to our support inbox and we answer within 1 business day, usually much faster. Or email hello@nearmax.com.

Something else? Reply to any email from us — we’re happy to help.
